Khun Prasert

Bangkok, Routine Service

My Seiko 5 had been losing about two minutes a day for a few months. I was uncertain whether it was worth the expense. After seeing the written inspection and discussing it with Khun Suriya, I decided to go ahead with the full service. The watch now runs within ten seconds per day. The process was explained clearly at each stage, and the cost matched what was agreed.

Chiang Mai, Vintage Rebuild

I sent a 1960s Swiss movement that belonged to my father — it had not run in years. Suriya Timeworks took the time to examine it thoroughly and sent me a written report before touching anything. They were honest about which parts could be restored and which needed sourcing. The rebuild took about three weeks. The watch now runs steadily and retains its original character.

Bangkok, Refinishing

Had the case and bracelet of my dress watch refinished before a wedding. The result was very tidy — they asked me beforehand about the finish I wanted rather than just going ahead, which I appreciated. The only small thing was the turnaround was a day longer than originally estimated, though they did message to let me know. Overall I would bring another watch here.

Bangkok, Routine Service

I own three mechanical watches and have been bringing them here every few years for routine maintenance. What I value most is the consistency — the service quality has not changed, the communication is always clear, and they never suggest work that is not needed. My Tudor received its third service here last month and is running better than it ever has.

Nonthaburi, Vintage Rebuild

My late grandfather's Omega had been sitting unworn for about twelve years. I was not sure it could be made functional again but wanted to try. The team here took real care with it — they explained what could and could not be done with the original parts, and the end result was a watch that keeps good time and still looks its age in all the right ways. Very glad I came here rather than a generic repair shop.

Arthit T.

Bangkok, Refinishing

Brought my sports watch in for a case buff and bracelet polish. The conversation beforehand about what finish to keep and what to refresh was genuinely useful — I had not thought about the difference between the brushed lugs and the polished centre links being intentional. The result looks like it left the factory recently. Will bring it back for a service in a year or two.

Case Studies

The Situation

Inherited Longines — 50 Years Dormant

A client brought in a 1970s Longines automatic inherited from a relative. The watch had not been worn or wound in over five decades. The crown was stiff, the mainspring set, and the dial had some dust ingress under the crystal.

Our Approach

Careful Rebuild

Full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, new mainspring, crown and tube replaced, crystal and dial cleaned gently. The original dial was preserved intact — the owner specifically did not want it touched beyond surface dust removal.

The Outcome

Reliable Daily Wear

Watch returned running at +8 sec/day. The original patina was preserved. The client now wears it regularly. Total time: 19 days.

"It looks and feels exactly as it should — old, but working. I am very pleased with how they handled the dial."

The Situation

Modern Automatic — Rate Drift After Travel

A frequent traveller noticed his everyday automatic began losing 90 seconds daily after a period of extended wear in high-humidity environments. The watch was only four years old but had not been serviced since purchase.

Our Approach

Routine Service

Inspection confirmed the rate drift was due to degraded lubrication — consistent with heavy use in Bangkok and Singapore. Full service, new seals, and lubrication renewal. No parts replacement required.

The Outcome

Stable Rate Restored

Rate returned to +4 sec/day across multiple positions. Service completed in 7 business days at ฿4,400.

"The timing machine printout they sent with the watch was reassuring — it showed clearly what had been corrected."

The Situation

Wedding Gift — Surface Marks Before the Day

A client brought in a stainless steel watch received as a gift several years earlier. It had accumulated hairline scratches on the case sides and on the bracelet centre links from daily wear. The owner wanted it tidied before an upcoming family event.

Our Approach

Targeted Refinishing

After discussing the original finishing in detail — brushed case sides, polished lugs, polished centre links — the technician worked to each surface individually. The movement was not touched, as the watch was running well.

The Outcome

Ready for the Occasion

Watch returned four days before the event, looking considerably fresher while retaining its original surface contrasts. Cost: ฿8,200.

"They asked all the right questions before starting. It looked exactly how I had hoped — not new, but looked after."
