Terms & Conditions

These terms explain the basis on which Suriya Timeworks provides its watch repair and restoration services. We have aimed to write them plainly, so you know exactly what to expect from us and what we ask in return.

1. Definitions

"Agreement"
— these Terms & Conditions, together with any service quotation or written confirmation we provide.
"We / Us / Our"
— Suriya Timeworks, located at 311 Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand.
"You / Client"
— the individual or entity requesting a service from Suriya Timeworks.
"Service"
— any watch repair, servicing, refinishing, or restoration work carried out by Suriya Timeworks.
"Timepiece"
— the watch or clock submitted to us for service.
"Site"
— our website at suriyati.pro.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using this Site, submitting an enquiry, or bringing a timepiece to our workshop, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

If you are submitting a timepiece on behalf of another person, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that the owner has been informed of these terms.

3. Service Description

Suriya Timeworks offers watch repair, maintenance, and restoration services in Bangkok, Thailand. Our current service offerings are:

  • Routine Service and Oiling — cleaning and re-lubrication of a working watch movement.
  • Bracelet and Case Refinishing — cosmetic refreshment of external metal surfaces.
  • Comprehensive Vintage Rebuild — full mechanical restoration of older timepieces.

Services are available at our Bangkok workshop and via pre-arranged courier where agreed in writing. We do not operate outside Thailand without explicit prior arrangement.

4. Your Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about the timepiece, including any known faults, prior repairs, or modifications.
  • Ensure that you are the rightful owner of the timepiece or have clear authorisation to have it serviced.
  • Collect or arrange return of the timepiece within 60 days of notification of completion. Uncollected pieces held beyond this period may incur a storage charge.
  • Use the Site only for lawful purposes and refrain from submitting false, misleading, or harmful content.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, images, logos, and design — belongs to Suriya Timeworks or is used with permission. You are welcome to view and print materials for personal reference, but you may not reproduce, redistribute, or use them commercially without our written consent.

Nothing in this Agreement transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.

6. Payment Terms

All prices are quoted and payable in Thai Baht (฿). Current service prices are:

  • Routine Service and Oiling฿4,400
  • Bracelet and Case Refinishing฿8,200
  • Comprehensive Vintage Rebuild฿14,900

Prices may be adjusted following inspection if additional work is required. We will always communicate any changes before proceeding, and we will not begin additional work without your agreement.

Payment is due upon collection or prior to return dispatch of the completed timepiece. We accept cash, bank transfer, and major credit cards.

Cancellation and refunds: If you wish to cancel a service after it has commenced, we reserve the right to charge for work already completed. Deposits, where taken, are non-refundable once work has begun. If we are unable to complete a service, any payment made will be returned in full.

7. Service-Specific Terms

Inspection and Scope

Every timepiece receives an assessment before any work begins. We will provide a written description of the proposed work and its cost. You may accept or decline at this stage with no obligation.

Parts and Materials

We use original parts wherever they are available and appropriate. Where original parts are unavailable, we will discuss alternatives with you before proceeding. We document all parts replaced.

Turnaround Times

Estimated turnaround times are provided as guidance only. Vintage rebuilds and complex repairs may take longer than initially indicated. We will keep you informed of any significant delays.

Risk and Care

We handle every timepiece with professional care. While all reasonable precautions are taken, some older or fragile watches carry inherent risks during service that cannot be fully anticipated. We will notify you of any such risks prior to commencing work.

8. Disclaimers

We take care with our work and aim for consistent results, but the nature of mechanical restoration means outcomes can vary. We make no representations regarding specific rate accuracy, power reserve, or cosmetic outcome beyond what is discussed and agreed in advance.

The Site and its content are provided for informational purposes. Information about services, pricing, and availability is subject to change and should be confirmed with us directly before acting upon it.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law, our total liability to you in connection with any service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that service.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including sentimental or collectible value attributed to a timepiece, unless such loss arises from our gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Events beyond our reasonable control — including supplier delays, power outages, or unforeseen technical complications — do not constitute a breach of these terms.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold Suriya Timeworks harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these terms, your misrepresentation of ownership, or your use of the Site in a manner inconsistent with applicable law.

11. Termination

Either party may withdraw from a pending service before work commences with reasonable notice. Once work has begun, the terms in Section 6 regarding cancellation apply.

We reserve the right to decline a service or end an engagement where we believe the terms have been materially breached. Any provisions intended to survive termination — including limitations of liability and indemnification — shall continue to apply.

12. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or a service we provide shall first be addressed informally — please contact us at [email protected] and we will work in good faith toward a resolution.

If informal resolution is not achievable, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangkok, Thailand.

13. General Provisions

  • Entire agreement: These terms, together with any written service quotation, constitute the full agreement between us.
  • Severability: If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce a provision on any occasion does not waive our right to enforce it in the future.
  • Assignment: You may not transfer your rights under this agreement without our prior written consent.
  • Notices: Formal notices should be sent to the contact details in Section 15.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. For ongoing service engagements, we will notify you of any material changes. Continuing to use our services after an update signifies your acceptance of the revised terms.
